Hello everybody!

Next summer I'm going to Canada with 2 other guys from my team. We're going to Edmonton/Barrhead for the first 2 weeks and then we are going to Ottawa and Toronto. Is there anything you guys can recommend? What lacrosse related things can we visit/watch? Are there any big lacrosse stores that we need to bring a visit?

I hope you guys can help me out!

Thanks,

Kasman

What dates? That would help in figuring out what events might be on at that time.

Since you are in Ontario, if you care to make the drive theres the Ontario Lacrosse Hall Of Fame which could be fun. Personally I've never been but I hear its fun.

The West Edmonton Mall is supposed to be amazing! I heard they had a rollercoaster and a Wave Pool?

I'm not going to rummage through the website but here it is:

When you're in Toronto you could probably catch a Toronto Nationals game (MLL) or there will be alot of teams around the Toronto area in the middle of box lacrosse playoffs (all levels, Jr A, B, & C, Sr A & B). Not to mention if you are in Toronto area for the first week of August the minor lacrosse festival is happening in Whitby (about a 45 minute train ride from downtown Toronto) which features all of the provincial championships plus some the PeeWee and Bantam National Championships.

You're coming at the right time of year because there is alot of lacrosse going on!

At this time of the year, Senior A is over with (I think unless the OLA season goes alot longer than the BC season. I have a friend who played on the Victoria Shamrocks and their season has been done for over a month now, but I could be wrong) and the NLL doesn't start until January 8th. So catching any good box games isn't going to happen. As for field, I don't know. I live din Edmonton for the better part of a year and i would suggest you visit Totem Outfitters. They have a lot of lacrosse stuff. I'd go every other weekend when I lived there.

As for general sites, go visit the mall. They have a hockey rink right in the middle of the mall. They have the water park which I suggest you go see one afternoon. Slides are a blast and so are the waves. You can find out when the next dolphin show will be and take in one of those, and one of the submarine rides. There's also a lot of good stores there for you to check out (but no lacrosse ones I'm afraid).

If you have the time, and if it's not to far, Pickering is just outside of Toronto to the East Down the 401 highway and Proboss Lacrosse is housed there. You can always go check that place out.

aint **** to do in Edmonton about lacrosse. You should go to BC or just go straight to Ontario. As for lax stores Calgary has a Mountain Edge lacrosse(one in BC as well, BC one has a shooting cage inside), a few stores in Ontario depending on where you go.
